Repair and Maintenance Technician

SMA America, the worldwide leader in photovoltaic inverters, is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technician in Grass Valley, California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

• Test, analyze and repair problem inverters.
• Adhere to departmental procedures, safety requirements and ESD control practices.
• Support the department goals of continuous improvement.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Assure sufficient raw materials are present to avoid business interruptions within the Repair & Maintenance area.
• General assistance in other areas of the operation.
• Create procedure documentation for departmental use and in preparation for ISO 9000 certification.
• Education and/or Experience:  Must have a two year degree in Electronics Technology or possess equivalent work experience.

Other Skills and Abilities:  Must be conversant with all of the Microsoft Office programs.  Intermediate level (or higher) of Microsoft Excel preferred.
