Technical Service Representative
Department: Technical Service Reports to: Supervisor, Service Line
The Technical Service Representative will be responsible for providing the highest quality of customer support thorough the technical support hotline at SMA America. Will deliver fault resolution to customers, installers, and others interested in products available from SMA. Responsible for creating documentation as necessary for publication in written form as well as on SMA’s web site. Provides technical training to team members as necessary. Also provides pre-sale (string sizer) assistance and post-sale support to the Sales and Marketing departments as required.
Requirements: - Must have a high school degree or GED equivalent. A four year technology related degree is preferred. Experience in the field of solar electric (PV) installation, troubleshooting, system design and/or inspection equivalent to this level of education can be used in lieu of this requirement.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good computer skills, experience with email and the internet, and be familiar with Microsoft Office products.
