Thiva

With 3,000 hours of sun per year, Greece offers excellent conditions for photovoltaics. One of country´s biggest PV power stations is located in the municipality of Thiva, 50 kilometers northwest of Athens. The huge ground-mounted plant has an output of 3.25 megawatts.

Equipped with 306 Sunny Mini Central inverters from SMA as well as 12,600 modules from aleo solar AG and 5,760 modules from SolarWorld AG, the plant is already saving 4,290 tons of CO2 per year.

Power

For five years the Zafeiratos group has been one of the top addresses when it comes to planning and realizing PV power stations in Greece. A large number of large-scale plants in the megawatt range such as the plant in Thiva impressively prove this. From the very beginning, the plant designers have been relying on system competence from SMA. Thanks to an efficiency of 98 percent, the plant in Thiva with a decentralized plant configuration with Sunny Central 11000TL offers more than just high yields.

Partnership

Since the foundation in 2006, the Zafeiratos group has established an excellent reputation when it comes to PV power stations in Greece. Our aim from the very beginning was to offer highest quality for our customers. This is why the requirements concerning our partners are very ambitious. Reliability and progressive technology were the crucial criteria for qualifying SMA as strategic partner after two years of cooperation. Many of our joint projects in Greece show us that this was the right decision - for us and our customers.
