As a technical trainer with the SMA Solar Academy, Alejandro Avellaneda conducts seminars and webinars about SMA products, code compliance and installation best practices. With nearly a decade of experience in the energy industry, he was most recently a regional trainer and instructor for mechanized rig equipment commissioning, operation and maintenance in the oil and gas sector. Alejandro holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering.
Mike Mahon is a technical training specialist with the SMA Solar Academy, delivering in-person training and webinars covering SMA products and the basics of photovoltaics. Prior to joining SMA in 2011, Mike taught NABCEP Entry Level Exam preparation and PV installation and design classes for private firms and also to members of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps. Mike holds a PhD in chemical engineering and a master's in electrical engineering, and has worked in the energy industry since 1998.
Adam Heyman comes to SMA America’s Solar Academy with a 20-year career in technical training. He has taught a wide range of subjects, including software programming, physics, mathematics, and office productivity applications for corporate, government, and academic clients. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University.
