Power Conversion System

The versatile, all-in-one power conversion system integrates a powerful Power Conversion Unit and the SMA System Manager providing optional power plant management and other software options that upgrade your power plant.

Sunny Central FLEX Power Conversion Unit (PCU)

The Sunny Central FLEX Power Conversion Unit (PCU) combines superior plant safety with maximized energy yield and minimized logistical and operating risk for large scale power plant projects.

With its modular design, the PCU can be configured for a variety of use cases including PV standalone, PV plus DC or AC coupled storage, Standalone Storage and Power2Gas*. As a powerful medium voltage power system, it offers outstanding DC/DC* and DC/AC conversion efficiency with pioneering use of silicon carbide in the semiconductors to boost efficiency.

The versatile PCU offers a range of configurations, delivering exceptional flexibility in system design. For example, the solar and storage setup provides 7.36 MW DC/AC output, plus 6 MW for DC/DC*.
